Ever feel like we make easy things hard? Customers can get confused when we do that. We, humans👽 do not like questions, and if there are many of them in the product or service, even if they are beneficial for us, we are avoiding them. Sometimes they are just tiring. Do you know, according to Google Trends, last year’s most famous search was google? Yes, we googled google the most.
When it comes to B2C for mass segments and even some B2B products, it’s important to keep explanations simple and easy to understand. Nobody wants to feel like they’re taking a quiz when they’re purchasing. So what people may feel, can I be scammed? So, what does this product do? Are there any affordable options? And many, many more. Consumer behavior is like a deep ocean, but our focus on today’s topic is keeping our products straightforward for them.
- Use clear and concise language: Avoid using technical jargon or industry-specific terms that your customers may not understand.
- Highlight the benefits: Instead of just listing the features of your product, focus on how it can benefit the customer and solve their problems.
- Use visuals: Including images, videos, or diagrams can help customers better understand your product and how it works. Plus they are more engaging.
- Provide examples: Give real-life examples of how your product has helped other customers to make it more relatable.
- Demos are powerful: Giving a chance to use your product and guiding them through while they encounter difficulties helps you to build close relations with the users.
- Address common questions or concerns: Anticipate any questions or concerns your customers may have and address them in your explanation.

Good points, Hasan!
I would also add that in today’s product development, products must include features and solutions that would explain themselves to customers in their first usage.
As our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter, grabbing potential investors’ interest or attracting a core customer base requires wise decision-making in the development of our products/ideas whatever it is.
Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Thank you for the comment, Kamran! I am glad you found it useful!😊
Yes, that is probably the ideal case for an explanation. However, in the initial stages, when the product(MVP, alpha/beta) is not that user-friendly, they are not good at explaining themselves. It requires much more effort in modern days from the team to make the user experience as smooth as possible.
That’s also right, we could be easily distracted, so finding the core basis is extra difficult. This is the process of finding product-market fit. It requires thoughtful consideration.
